Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy the pictures of the wonderful dogs I have had the pleasure to handle. I feel blessed that I am able to do what I love - to enjoy and have fun with dogs through the sport of professionally presenting quality dogs in the show ring. I first entered the ring in 1977 as an owner handler with my black Great Dane. I joined a local breed club and continued showing my Danes. I eventually met Pat Lawrence of Von Waldheim Great Danes, a great lady who taught me so much, far beyond the knowledge of the Great Dane breed. Pat and I co-owned and co-bred fawn and brindle Danes until her untimely death in 1995. I still miss her every day. Eager to learn more about the craft and professionalism of handling and managing show dogs, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to apprentice for three years in the mid-80's with renowned all-breed handlers Bryan and Nancy Martin. I benefited greatly from being exposed to their expertise, professionalism, high standards, and their basic love and care of the dogs. I value our continuing friendship and am still learning from them. I became involved with the Illini Great Dane Club through Pat Lawrence, a founding member. I have served on the Board for over 15 years, including several terms as Secretary and President . I have had the honor of judging various Sweepstakes and matches in the Great Dane breed. I feel privileged that I have met my best friends and have had the best times of my life through my involvement in this sport, and then there are the dogs!!! The wonderful, fun, joyous dogs I have come to know and their valued owners who have shared their precious "children" with me. What could be better? ![]() |
